It was another great day at the races at Benalla on Sunday with about 500 attending the free-entry, Comfort Inn Summer Racing Kids Day out.
Local trainer Peter Smith had a good day with a second place in race three behind the David Hayes-trained Bastille, which was purchased for $775000.
Mr Smith also had a third with Armona in race five.
Another local trainer, Wayne Nichols, finished third in the final race with Elizinga, which is part-owned by Benalla’s father and son team, Lindley and Daniel Flack.
Former Benalla boy and Black Caviar jockey, Luke Nolan had a winner in race four on board Tableaux.
