Volunteers thanked

Benalla State Emergency Service Volunteers celebrated Wear Orange Day with a hand-out of emergency information and a donation collection at a BWS outlet in Arundel St last Wednesday.

As part of National Volunteer Week, BWS invited Benalla SES to set up their Rescue Truck at their site to display the equipment to the public.

Emergency advice information was handed to patrons of the bottle shop by the volunteers and donations collected toward the unit’s operation were gratefully received.

SES volunteer Graham Milner thanked the BWS Manager Sue Knight for the opportunity to take part in the ‘‘Thank the SES Volunteer’’ day run by the business.

Benalla’s SES Unit attends incidents of storm, flood and search, on water and land.

Road crash rescue is also carried out by the unit.

New members to the unit are always welcome.
