Benalla locals win big in TattsLotto

November 06, 2017

There are nine smiling factory-workers in Benalla today after their private syndicate entry in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw won a division one prize of $369,059.13.

When speaking with a Tatts official to confirm their win, the syndicate leader confessed he was in a state of disbelief about their division one win.

“That is brilliant! It hasn’t really sunk in yet!” the happy man exclaimed.

“There are nine of us involved in it, just a work syndicate for a bit of fun, never expected to get something like this!

“We’ve been running it for a couple of years now, playing TattsLotto every week.

“We usually only win enough to put on another ticket – never anything like this!"

The syndicate leader also admitted that a team celebration was on the cards.

“We’re working on that! That’s the next thing for us to plan. I’m sure there will be a few drinks – I can tell ya that!”

When asked how the syndicate leader planned to spend his share of the TattsLotto windfall he said it would go a long way.

“We’re doing some house renovations, it will really help to fix our house up!” he declared.

“I’m not sure what the others are going to do, we’ll all have different plans, and I think there will a few of us going on holiday.

“It wouldn’t be something we could afford to do normally so it’s just fantastic.”

The private syndicate, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their 36-game QuickPick entry at Benalla Rose City Lotto.

Kim Lim, owner of Benalla Rose City Lotto, said they were thrilled to have sold another division one winner.

“We’re so happy to have sold another division one winner, this is our second winner in just seven months!” he exclaimed.

“We hope there is another win again soon for our customers! Perhaps even in tomorrow night’s $30 million Oz Lotto draw.

“Congratulations to our newest winners! We wish them all the best with their prize!”

The winning numbers in Saturday TattsLotto draw 3787 on Saturday 4 November 2017 were 22, 7, 30, 4, 17 and 26. The supplementary numbers were 41 and 44.
