Participants learn new skills

Early October last year, the HOCUS group was invited to visit Sherwill Sportset Pty Ltd to participate in making polo shirts for the group.

Robert Sherwill and his staff welcomed the teens and showed them how to operate an overlocker and a sewing machine.

Each participant made a barbecue apron for future volunteering opportunities and learnt about measuring, cutting and sewing a polo shirt.

Some of the teens formed a working group to design a logo for the HOCUS group.

Several designs were presented and a vote was taken to go with Haylie Carter’s.

The group would like to offer a big thank-you to Robert Sherwill and his staff who gave their time and kindly donated 20 polo shirts to the HOCUS teens for free.

They are extremely grateful and appreciated by all the support you have given us.
