The Goorambat Football Netball Club has announced their coaching team for 2018.
The club has kept to its local foundation, as all coaches have played for the club in previous years.
Shayne McKean is coaching the senior football team for the third consecutive season with James Dalton assistant coach. Both men have experience playing at the highest level of country football.
Brenton Doig has taken the role as Reserves coach. He has been a player for the club for a number of years and was a popular choice.
Olivia Wolff will be the A-grade netball coach this season. Olivia has played the past two years in A-grade and was the best-and-fairest winner for the team in 2017.
B-grade coach this season is Renea Hughes who has played for the club for many years and is also a past best-and-fairest winner.
Erin O’Brien and Kirsten Pianta are joint coaches for B-Reserve, Donna Beckley will take over as under-17 coach and Kobi Chapman will coach the under-15 girls for the second year.
Preparation for the season has been difficult for the footy team so far, with the team unable to train on their home field Churchill Reserve due to the ground being too hard to play on and difficulties maintaining it.
