Groups urged to apply for funding

March 07, 2018

A 2017 Tomorrow Today grant helped Benalla Scouts set up a Joey Mob for young people aged 5 ½ to 7 ½ years old.

Local groups and organisations are encouraged to apply for the 2018 Tomorrow Today Grants Program.

Grants are distributed annually and support local people to make a positive difference in the Benalla and district community.

Groups can apply for funding amounts ranging anywhere from $100 to $5000.

Since 2003, Tomorrow Today has awarded more than 100 grants to support a wonderful array of local projects, including cultural, environmental and educational activities.

Projects that meet the grant guidelines will be considered for funding, with priority given to two broad focus areas.

The first is on building a stronger community through projects that address social disadvantage, promote inclusion or embrace community diversity.

The second centres on improving social and educational outcomes for Benalla’s children through projects that ensure they start school ready to learn, help build their literacy and numeracy, increase their wellbeing, raise aspirations or help prepare students for future work.

●Contact Tomorrow Today Foundation executive officer Pat Claridge to discuss your project eligibility prior to application. Phone 57621211 or email [email protected]

Applications close at 5pm on Thursday, March 29.
