The FCJ College Swimming Carnival was held on February 27 and was an overwhelming success.

Throughout the day there were extremely high participation rates across all year levels and a great level of support from staff and student leaders.

It was great to see the Year 12 students support their Year 7 student buddies participating in events.

The two winners for the day were Mia Begley (Year 9) and Henry Jackson (Year 11) who were both the fastest swimmers of the day.

The Year 11 and 12 VCAL students ran a barbecue throughout the day to fundraise for the students who will venture to the Philippines in 2019 and help rebuild homes that were destroyed by natural disasters.

After many years of not having a staff versus student race, this year the relay was reintroduced and was enjoyed by the whole student population, specially as the student team beat the teachers on the day.

Special thanks to Luke Morgan and the FCJ College Staff who organised such a successful and enjoyable day for everyone.
