Benalla’s Patrick Warner was best on ground, and top scored for the Murray Bushrangers in their thumping victory over the Bendigo Pioneers recently.
Warner booted three goals on the way to a best-on-ground performance during his side’s 99-42 win over the Pioneers at Deakin Reserve on Good Friday.
The Bushrangers full-forward played an exceptional hand in the round-two 57-point win.
The 99-42 result means the Pioneers slip down the TAC Cup ladder to ninth, with a win and a loss after two rounds.
However, the Bushies rise to sixth, on the same points as the Pioneers, but hold a better points percentage.
Moama’s Noah Wheeler was best on ground for the Pioneers.
Next up for the Bushrangers is the winless Geelong Falcons at Queen Elizabeth Oval on Saturday.
Becky in fine form
Meanwhile, Benalla’s Becky Webster has also put in a shift for the Bushrangers in the TAC Cup Girls.
Recent results for the Bushies have seen Webster as the best on ground for her side during the 28-all draw with the Gippsland Power.
Webster, playing at played in the centre of midfield for the game, and claimed a goal to boot.
She was also named as the second best on ground in her side’s 60-20 win over the Bendigo Pioneers recently.
The Bushies girls’ side was scheduled to play the Western Jets yesterday afternoon, with the game starting after the Ensign deadline.
