Work on the years 10 to 12 Senior Learning Hub at Benalla P-12 College is well under way at the Faithfull Campus and upgrades at the Avon Campus have started, too.
Benalla P-12 College acting principal Paul Challis said the building program was continuing to move ahead with the roof cladding nearly all completed on the senior hub.
‘‘Other works include upgrades to the trade centre and bus shed, and the maintenance shed is nearly completed,’’ Mr Challis said.
‘‘The trade centre concrete slab is nearing completion and the work on the Avon Campus has commenced with the demolition and rebuilding under way.
‘‘As a part of the capital works we have been able to place an extensive sound system in the gym to assist when we hold assemblies and activities.
‘‘It is very exciting to know that at the end of the year the senior school will move to the Faithfull St Campus.
‘‘This will then provide great access to programs for Year 9 students.’’
Benalla P-12 College received $8.5million as part of the Victorian Government building project.
Crow Construction from Shepparton were the successful tenderers for stage one of the building projects.
Construction is scheduled to finish later this year.
