The girls travelled to Shepparton to play Shepparton Notre with a new girl playing her first game.

Madison Cronin is the new recruit who previously played at Mansfield with the boys.

She started the game well kicking the first goal, but like the rest of the team found that Shepparton had better skills and were cleaner with their handball and kicking.

The girls tried hard to keep up, but tired badly in the second half.

It showed out as some of the Benalla girls had run themselves ragged trying to make up the difference.

The girls are asked to keep coming to practice to improve their skills.

Training will again be Wednesday night even though there is no game next week due to the GV Under-16 representative game next Sunday.

Final scores were Shepparton 9 goals 16 behinds to 2 goals 1 point.

The goal kickers were Madison Cronin and Tayissa Gray.

Congratulations are in order for Tayissa and Madison Gray, Keeley Skepper and Manni Foubister as they all were selected in the Goulburn Valley Under-16 Representative team to play Bendigo at Mooroopna next Sunday, June 3.

The next Youth League game is on the long weekend where the Saints play Mooroopna at Mooroopna on Sunday, June 10, note game time is 11.15am.
