Traffic Alert – Benalla-Yarrawonga Road, Benalla

A 24/7 closure will be in place on Benalla-Yarrawonga Road between Link Road and Benalla-Winton Road (Sydney Road) for rehabilitation works starting Saturday, February 2.Asphalt works will be conducted until Saturday 9 February, weather permitting.During the closure, traffic will be detoured as followed:·        Vehicles traveling south along Benalla-Yarrawonga Road will need to turn right onto Link Road, then follow the detour signs to the Midland Highway, Ackerly Avenue, Faithfull Street and Mansfield Road to the Hume Freeway.·        Vehicles travelling north on the Hume Freeway who need to access Benalla-Yarrawonga Road will need to exit onto Mansfield Road, then follow the detour signs to Faithfull Street, Ackerly Avenue and the Midland Highway to Link Road.·        Vehicles approaching from Baddaginnie-Benalla Road who need access to Benalla-Yarrawonga Road will need to turn left onto Faithfull Street, then follow the detour route to the Midland Highway and onto Link Road.·        Vehicles travelling south on the Hume Freeway who need access to Benalla-Yarrawonga Road will need to continue past the Winton exit ramp and exit onto Mansfield Road. Vehicles will then need to follow the detour signs to Faithfull Street, Ackerly Avenue and the Midland Highway to Link Road.·        Vehicles travelling south on the Midland Highway (who use Benalla-Yarrawonga Road to bypass Benalla and travel north on the Hume Freeway), will need to follow the detour route on the Midland Highway to Ackerly Avenue, Goodwin Street, Faithfull Street and Mansfield Road to the Hume Freeway.We suggest drivers plan ahead to avoid congestion and allow an extra 5-10 minutes.For the latest traffic information around the state visit
