Deniliquin Baptist Church is again hosting a free family event in the Waring Gardens on Easter Sunday.
‘‘We love putting on this event because we want to be part of the Deni community,’’ Pastor Chris Taylor said.
Easter in the Park has become a part of the Easter celebrations in Deni for nearly 15 years, and last year attracted about 200 people.
It starts at 9.30am and there will be activities for all the family. It will include a jumping castle, face-painting, children’s activities, hot cross buns and, of course, an Easter egg hunt.
As usual, there will be a church service and a short talk about why it’s good to celebrate Easter.
‘‘For believers all over the world, Easter is a celebration of the central message of the Christian faith — that Jesus died but rose again,’’ Pastor Taylor said.
‘‘It’s a message of hope that we want the community to know about.’’
The morning will conclude with a free barbecue lunch after the service.
Everyone is welcome to join the celebrations on Easter Sunday morning. For more information contact Pastor Taylor on 58815580.
