Uncapped teenage bowlers Georgia Wareham and Tayla Vlaeminck have been named in Australia's 13-strong squad for this month's three-match women's T20 series against New Zealand.
Melbourne Renegades legspinner Wareham and fast bowling teammate Vlaeminck pushed for selection during off-season camps.
"There's no doubt it's a big jump up to the international stage but both Tayla and Georgia have come through the National Performance Squad program over the winter," captain Meg Lanning said.
"I'm really confident that's prepared them very well to come into our side and really contribute."
Legspinner Amanda-Jade Wellington is the only member of the victorious Tri-Series team in March to be overlooked.
Wellington, who has been named in an Australian XI to play Australia and New Zealand before the trans-Tasman T20 clashes gets underway, was limited to just four overs in three appearances in the Tri-Series involving England and India.
"We're really fortunate with the depth we have in particular in the leg-spin department,' national selector Shawn Flegler said
"We feel Georgia provides the full package required for T20 cricket, she's an outstanding fielder and her bowling has really progressed over the last 12 months."
Meanwhile, left-arm spinner Jess Jonassen has been ruled out due to a knee injury sustained on the Gold Coast this week.
Jonassen will undergo arthroscopic surgery later in the week, which should indicateb how long she will be sidelined.
Top-ranked Australia will play world No.3-rated New Zealand at North Sydney Oval on September 29, Brisbane's Allan Border Field on October 1 and Canberra's Manuka Oval on October 5.
"New Zealand will provide us with great competition, they are a really good side, who have been playing good T20 cricket over the last few years," Lanning said.
"I think it's the perfect test for us heading into the T20 World Cup.
The World Cup will be staged in the West Indies from November 9-24.
