Campaspe Golf Club played its deferred Australia Day event on Monday last week.

The weather was good and the field was great.

The winner of the medal, which was presented by Bryan Griffiths of the Rochester Australia Day committee, was Keiran McAsey with a score of (48-12-36).

Rod McAsey was very close behind to be runner-up on (54-171/2-361/2).

The hole in one prize of $250 went begging but Laurie Radley got NTP 5th, Shane Wolfe was NTP 7th and the straightest drive 9th went to Owen McPhee.

John Oakley and Tony Murray both had 14 putts with John winning on the countback.

Geoff Crossman and Shane Wolfe were both lucky card winners.

The Wednesday ladies were short on numbers but Naida Belot had a win. Toni Bales gave her some hurry up to be runner-up and Faye Latter won the putting.

The weeks are flying past and our winter competition will soon be starting, so all you bowlers, start dusting off your clubs and practicing your swings.
