The match was scheduled as a make-up fixture due to the hiccups the coronavirus has caused to fixturing this season.
Unfortunately for the Lions, they were slow out of the gates as the Tigers kept them scoreless in the opening quarter, while adding four goals and four behinds themselves.
The Lions kicked 2.1 in the second but still trailed by 30 at the main break.
Seymour won the third quarter, reducing the margin by five points to trail by 25 points at the final change.
The Tigers were able to stop the momentum and kick two goals to one in the final term to win by 34 points, 9.13 (67) to 5.3 (33).
Izaac Joseph-Hauser kicked two goals for the Lions, while Fraser Rutherford, Jabe Brown, Oliver Munro, William Le Deux and Angus Murray were the Lions’ best players.
Murray's performance coincided with his selection in the under-16 Murray Bushrangers squad, which will take on Bendigo Pioneers and Gippsland Power.
The squad will begin training on Wednesday, June 23, and play the Pioneers on Sunday, June 27, as a curtain-raiser to the NAB League clash between the two under-19 outfits.
The Gippsland Power clash is yet to be scheduled.
In other news, a Seymour under-16 player was charged with carelessly striking a Euroa opponent during their April 24 match.
The Seymour player was found guilty and will miss three matches, with a further three matches suspended until the end of 2022.
