A woman in her 40’s was transported to Goulburn Valley Health following a two car collision in Shepparton earlier today.
First Constable Jessica Williams said the lady was travelling south along North St in Shepparton at about 12pm when her car hit a curb and flipped onto its roof.
“A gentleman has pulled out of a parking bay and failed to give way to a lady travelling south,” she said.
“The lady has tried to avoid a collision by swerving and it appears that she had hit a curb which has caused her vehicle to flip.”
It took emergency services around 20 minutes to free the woman who was trapped inside her vehicle before she was transported to hospital.
“She has been transported to GV Health for assessment just to make sure she is safe and well but there were no visible injuries and she is not in any pain,” First Const Williams said.
North St was blocked between Stewart St and Fryers St following the incident as emergency services worked to clear the scene.
