It was always going to be tough against a strong Milawa side, but the girls went out giving it their all. Every player gave 100 per cent and tried to slow a fast Milawa.
Catherine Masters ran hard in the mid-court and took some great catches. Allison Ellis played a solid game again in defence ,providing great back-up.
Erin O’Brien and Kelsey Rigg combined well in goals for the first time. Chelsea Beavis was having a great game in defence, but unfortunately in the last minute of the game dislocated her shoulder.
The girls will gather again for next week and try to get a win in the board.

B-grade
It wasn’t a great start to the game with Chloe Trevena going down with a knee injury before the match and Nina Gardiner playing with an injury.
The girls went out and tried hard against a strong Milawa side and tried hard all game, but unfortunately it wasn’t their day.
Kayla Savory and Chloe Cook stepped up and played well for the side.
The team will reset this week and go out against Tarrawingee trying to string four quarters together.

B-Reserve
The girls worked as a team this week, fighting hard all game. Ashley Rice played well, with tight defence and attacking the ball when needed.
Tiffany Heatherill shot well against a strong defender and created space in the ring. Sally Swankie made a significant impact on the court where she made strong leads and worked hard to prise possession of the ball.

C-Grade
Unfortunately this week the Baby Bats suffered with two players injured and one away.
The girls still held their heads high and were very strong willed.
With Hayley Montgomery returning this week she went into GD and played tight defence for four full quarters, providing lots of positive talk the whole game.
The girls goal for the day was to stay positive and work together as a team and they defiantly achieved that.
Ainsley Gilchrist played a great game in shooting, after losing her confidence she definitely made up for it on the court.
Abby Hammond is improving each week in shooting and has great potential that keeps getting better by the game.
The girls are yet to win a game, but are working hard at training and improving out of sight considering they have a young team going up against more experienced clubs.
