In their chase, Taylor was again the Windies' best.

The Jamaican did her best to haul in the Australian total, striking nine fours on her way to 67 off 86 - making her the game's best performer as batter and bowler.

However, Taylor's was a lone hand, with none of her teammates able to match her efforts to challenge in the chase.

Lanning's side have one final hit-out, against New Zealand on Tuesday, before their tournament opener against holders England in Hamilton on Saturday.

In a bad sign for the hosts, they were toppled by Pakistan - the lowest ranked side participating in the eight-team World Cup - in their practice match on Sunday.

Pakistan chased down the White Ferns' 229 in the final over with four wickets in hand.
