More than 150 people gathered at the Deniliquin Multi Arts Centre for independent singer-songwriter Lior’s concert last Friday night.
Lior kicked off South West Music’s 12 concert series, wowing the crowd with an outstanding performance.
South West Music projects and concerts coordinator Dana McNally said Lior’s anecdotes before each song were a highlight of the performance.
‘‘He is a very funny person,’’ she said.
‘‘Lior gave anecdotes before each song to discuss the inspiration behind it and told some funny stories.
‘‘He was very engaging with the crowd as well.
‘‘The sound in the hall was outstanding and the venue was just captivating.
‘‘The subscribers had priority seating for the night but the view was stunning no matter where you were seated.’’
The night kicked off with a performance by Domini Forster, with attendees enjoying a fully catered intermission at the Waring Gardens.
