Almost 150 dangerous traffic spots across NSW will be repaired over coming months, but none of them are in the local area.
Berrigan Shire Council said it was ineligible to apply for funding under the most recent round of the Federal Liberal and Nationals Government’s Black Spot Program.
Council corporate services director Matt Hansen said council would continue to monitor traffic incident statistics, in conjunction with emergency services, and address any concerns as they arise.
"We constantly monitor our grey spots to determine if any changes push it over the line to an official ‘Black Spot’, which would enable us to pursue funding.
"We are also constantly addressing our road safety requirements as part of our normal public works program.”
