Winton Wetlands Committee of Management chair Dennis O’Brien said he was pleased to announce that registrations for the forum were now open.
The event will feature local speakers and others from across Australia and New Zealand.
They will discuss subjects around the role of nature in ecosystem health, human health and wellbeing and connection to culture and country.
Winton Wetlands restoration scientist Lance Lloyd said the two-day event would feature some innovative restoration and educational activities as well as offering attendees time to mix and network with colleagues both new and old.
‘‘We are pleased to announce we have Professor Pierre Horwitz, from the School of Natural Sciences at Edith Cowan University. He will be talking about the multifaceted relationships between wetlands, conservation action, and human health,’’ Mr Lloyd said.
‘‘This year’s forum program is an excellent opportunity to hear relevant speakers from a range of organisations.’’
