Local paint retailer, Paint Place, has seen a steady flow of customers during recent weeks as isolated homeowners got to work on their properties.
Store owner Terry Mack said every customer and every sale counted right now and he had been moved by the level of support he had received from the town.

He said the future was uncertain, but local people were doing everything they could to back local businesses and it was appreciated by all retailers.
“We stock Haymes paint, which is Australian made, which is not only a great paint, but our customers are making a point of buying locally made products,” Terry said.
“There’s a real sense in the community that people are doing everything they can to help each other get through this crisis.”

Terry said no-one knew how long this shutdown would last.
Renovations are always a tug-of-war between your imagination and cash flow, but painting is one thing we can all do, which can make a lot of difference to a house, and time is something people have been forced to take.
