Particularly, one you have spent the past 25 years dedicating your life to building and maintaining, while establishing long-standing friendships with your customers. Letting go can be hard.
And like any small business, there have been the highs and the lows, good times and the not-so-good, but Bill Robertson Automotive owners Bill and Helen Robertson said they were immensely proud of what they had been able to achieve.

Helen said letting go had been made easier because the new owner was mechanic Justin Kerr, who has been with the business for the past four years.
Justin, who is from Melbourne, fell in love and married a local girl, Kerryn Billman, and together they will continue to build on the Bill Robertson name because they are keeping it.
Justin said the name was important moving forward because the town recognised and understood that the brand, including the man, was associated with being honest and fair.

Helen said she and Bill could not be happier that their business would be in Justin’s hands.
“We’re just so excited,” Helen said.
“We know how good Justin is and Bill and I know he will continue to make this business a success.”

And the business is doing well despite coronavirus restrictions, with locals having more time to get their vehicles inspected for running repairs and maintenance.
Helen advised to prevent yourself from being caught out when that repair you had been putting off suddenly caused a huge problem.
She said the world might be going through an uncertain time, but do not let your car's performance and reliability become an issue.
