Hosted by the Echuca Moama Photography Club, the convention will run from May 29 to 31 at Rich River Golf Club’s Tatalia Function Centre.
The event is expected to attract close to 200 photographers and partners, showcasing work from camera clubs across the state through prints, digital imagery and audio visual presentations.
Club member Roz Harris said the convention was an opportunity for photographers to connect, learn and share their work.
“Photography is for all ages, it brings people together for companionship, learning and community involvement,” she said.
“Providing a supportive and informative environment for fellow photography buffs of all skill levels is a really important part of what we do.”

The convention will feature workshops led by experienced photographers including Ian van der Wolde, Cedric Robertson, Richard Tatti, Jose Gomez and David Simmonds, offering attendees hands-on learning opportunities across a range of photographic styles and techniques.
Ms Harris said hosting the convention was also a chance to showcase the Echuca-Moama region through a creative lens.
“We want to showcase our club and our wonderful area, which has great history and photographic opportunities, and show a different side to Echuca-Moama through the camera lens,” she said.
The Echuca Moama Photography Club, established in 2011, has grown into a strong community organisation offering competitions, workshops, day trips and social opportunities for photographers of all experience levels.
“Our club is an extremely friendly group of enthusiastic members, from new photographers to very experienced photographers,” Ms Harris said.

“Being a member is a way to make new friends and learn new skills in a positive environment.”
She said the convention would also appeal to art lovers and members of the wider public.
“For art lovers, this is a wonderful opportunity to see the cream of the crop from statewide photographers right here in our own backyard,” she said.
