Thirteen couples were the centre of attention at Friday night’s ball, and another 12 on Saturday night.
Dancer instructors Vicki Ackers and Debbie O’Connor had been training the students in preparation for the evening since April.
Mrs Ackers said they were an “awesome group who worked really hard”.
The couples performed a series of dances at each ball, including the samba, Tracey Lee waltz, progressive three step and the cha, cha, cha.
They also had a little fun with a routine set to the Grease Medley, and the parents were invited to come up for a special dance with their sons and daughters.
Another group of teens will make their debut later in the year, with the 2023 ball to be held in November.
The event has been brought forward to this year, due to Mrs Ackers’ retirement at the end of this year.
She has been instructing local debs for 20 years.
“I was asked to take the 2023 group early, as there are some in the group whose family members have also been trained by me over the years,” she said.
“This also allows more time for someone to take over from me.
“With the 2023 group ball to be held this year, there will not need to be another one until 2024.”
