National Service Medals, NSW Rural Fire Service Long Service Medals and Commissioner certificates of commendation were awarded across both brigades.
Southern Border Team operational officer Andrew Bevan said these medals recognise the long and diligent service “of our hardworking members over a number of years”.
The long service medal is presented for 10 years of service, and the National Service Medal for 15 years.
“Special mention must be given to Andrew Taylor and Ray McCaw from Finley, whose RFS Long Service Medals recognised 20 incredible years of incredible service to the community, and John Keleher at Tocumwal for 30 years of service.”
“The Southern Border RFS Team is very proud to congratulate these firefighters, and thank them for their dedication to the Rural Fire Service.”
Finley RFS award also included Craig Steel, Rob McMurray, PJ Pether and Neale Rees.
Other Tocumwal awards are as follows:
National Service Medal and 10 years service - Dean Keleher and Kevin Young.
National Service Medal - Roy Taylor, Mark MacCullagh, Tim Snowden, Jordan MacCullagh, Jinette Graham.
Comissioner cerftificates of commendation - Melissa Jarrett, Trent Buckley, Matt Henderson, Shania MacCullagh and Jordan Bugler.
