Police have released footage from Friday, January 2, showing a black Dodge Ram utility pulling into the Echuca South Recreation Reserve on High St.
Police believe the utility rammed into a stationary white Nissan Navara at about 3.30pm.
A male passenger of the Dodge Ram then emerged from the vehicle with a firearm.
The driver of the Nissan, a 40-year-old Echuca man, ran from the scene.
No shots were fired, and the driver of the Nissan was uninjured.
The male passenger of the Dodge Ram stole a bag from inside the Nissan before returning to his vehicle. He then exited the car park and fled east on High St.
Police believe there was damage to the front passenger side of the Dodge Ram.
The offender was described as Caucasian, around 175cm tall of a slim build, and was wearing a red T-shirt at the time.
Detectives have released CCTV footage and an image of the black Dodge Ram utility, and have appealed to the community for help to identify the vehicle and to assist with inquiries.
