Funding from $500 to $2000 will be available to artists, Indigenous organisations, businesses, art organisations, museums, galleries and not-for-profit organisations within the Murray River Council.
Residents from Moira Shire, Campaspe Shire and Gannawarra Shire are also eligible to apply where it can be demonstrated that there is a substantial benefit to the South West Arts service region in New South Wales.
Murray River Council Acting Mayor Frank Crawley said council commended South West Arts for its continued support of the arts sector and encouraged local artists and organisations to apply for CASP.
“Our local arts community plays an important role right across our area; by facilitating work, and providing creative spaces and outlets for both locals and visitors alike,” said Cr Crawley.
“The funding is a great opportunity for these local groups to develop new work, undertake professional development or create new experiences for others to enjoy.”
The scope of how the CASP funding can be used is broad and allows for activities such as projects that deliver broad community benefit, projects that may be important to an individual artist to support the growth of their arts practice, small capital grants for local galleries, museums and community organisations to improve their facilities as well as delivering workshops, professional development and arts and cultural events.
CASP is divided into three sections: Grant A is for individual artists, Grant B is for community groups, arts organisations, museums and galleries (including privately run facilities) and Grant C is for community-based arts activities.
Applications for the program close on August 4 at 5pm.
