The local myotherapist has recently relocated her business, Myo On The Move, to a new space at N8 Health Wellness Centre, in George St, Deniliquin.
Myo On The Move is a one-stop shop for management and prevention of all types of body and muscular pain, helping those in pain to move better, feel better and live their best life.
At Myo On The Move you will receive meaningful management and treatment of sports injuries, neck, back and shoulder pain, pregnancy related pain, headaches and migraines, tendinopathy/bursitis, TMJ/jaw pain and nerve related pain.
Rebecca brings a wealth of knowledge and extensive background in myotherapy with her to N8 Health, which she can’t wait to share with the Deni community.
In 2015, after completing her remedial massage diploma and working, Rebecca traded in the country life (for a short time), and moved to Geelong where she commuted from to complete a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Myotherapy.
“I wanted to build on my knowledge and take another step in my education,” she said.
In 2018, Rebecca worked four jobs at once within the Geelong region, working in two different clinics on the Bellerine Peninsula as a myotherapist, a receptionist for an allied health clinic, as well as a VFL trainer and AFL massage therapist for the Geelong Cats.
For the last four years she has worked as a myotherapist at a clinic in Mildura, allowing her to really develop as a practitioner.
“While working in Mildura I really started to notice the lack of quality health care in regional and remote towns,” she said.
Rebecca moved to Deni to be with her partner Riley Chaplin, but her love for a regional setting, paired with the need for health services in the area, made the transition to Deni a “really easy fit”.
“I grew up in a small community called Pomona just outside of Wentworth, in the Sunraysia region, on a dried fruit property,” she said.
“Living on the edge of the bush I spent my days exploring and playing sports including tennis, swimming and netball.
“I love the lifestyle regional areas offer and am looking forward to helping as many people as I can in the community reduce their pain, increase their movement, prevent and rehabilitate from injury and improve their overall sporting and exercise performance.”
While Rebecca enjoys treating people from all walks of life, she has a keen interest in treating all sporting injuries and pregnancy related pain.
Myo On the Move’s operating hours are Tuesdays from 9am to 6pm, Wednesdays from 9am to 7pm and Thursdays from 8am to 5pm.
