Part of Benalla’s Australian Christian College Hume campus SmartPlay offers a structured approach to getting students ready for the next step of their education.
Bec and Ben Gazzola’s daughter Arizona has already started primary school and their younger daughter Marlee is currently attending four-year-old kinder.
“My eldest daughter went there too, she is 10 now,” Ms Gazzola said.
“She had the same great teacher as our younger ones, Fiona Ham.
“SmartPlay is fantastic. It offers long day care form 7am to 5.30pm.
“All meals are included and the kids absolutely adore them, plus they’re healthy which is fantastic.
“They offer before and after school care along with (holiday) care as well.
“And the educators there are amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of Fiona Ham and Becca Loh.
“They love your children like they are their own.”
Ms Gazzola said the transition program SmartPlay was one of the highlights for the family.
“It was so so smooth. Arizona went from the kinder yard straight over to the primary school,” she said.
“Kids have a lot of anxiety going from three days a week of kinda to five days at big school.
“But they have walked past or through the primary school so often, they see all the primary school kids playing out of their window.
“Being so close makes that transition so much easier.”
