Christmas is a season of joy and togetherness, but for many families facing hardship and rising living costs, it can also be a time of stress.
The toy run offers a chance for our community to rally together, share generosity, and bring hope to those doing it tough.
Now in its 41st year, the event continues to support local families by collecting toys to brighten children’s Christmas mornings.
The Campaspe Salvation Army is once again partnering with the run, ensuring all donations stay within the Deniliquin area.
Major Lynne Turnbull said the call for kindness is as strong as ever.
“This Christmas, we invite you to once again be the hope people need,” she said.
“Toys should be new or in near-new condition, and unwrapped so they can be distributed to the most appropriate person.
“Your donation is an act of kindness, giving hope to families this Christmas.”
The toy run will take place in Cressy St from 9am to noon this Saturday, featuring the much-loved motorbike and car displays.
Families seeking assistance this festive season are encouraged to register with the Campaspe Salvation Army.
Forms are available at the Salvos Store in Cressy St, Deniliquin and St Vincent de Paul Centre in Napier St, Deniliquin.
