On day two of their match, Benalla Bushrangers’ headed to the crease to chase Ovens Valley United's total of 227.
Benalla's Brendan Hernan steered the innings, hitting 70 runs for the home side, though needed another high scorer to join him, with Benalla all out for 208.
Shannon Parker (29) was Benalla's next best, while Ovens Valley United's Seamus Phillips inflicted plenty of pain with the ball, finishing with 5-41.
● Benalla's B-grade side lost its one-day match against Milawa in nail-biting fashion, going down in the final over to lose by a single run, with both teams taking eight wickets each.
The Bushrangers won the toss and elected to bat first, with the visitors going on to make 8/153 at the conclusion of their innings.
Benalla's Glenn Shaw (38) and Chris Hayes (34) steered the ship, while Milawa's Nick Stewart was lethal in attack, snaring 4-24 from eight overs.
Proving to be an all-rounder, Stewart took his good form into Milawa's innings with the bat, scoring 50 runs to lead Milawa to 8/154, with the winning runs coming off the last ball of the match.
Eric Nash was Benalla's best in attack, taking 3-30.

● Benalla failed to back up a stellar turn with the ball in C-grade cricket, falling six runs short to lose its round-six match-up against Delatite.
Stephen McCallum (3-1) and Trevor Taylor (2-3) gave Benalla a real chance of victory, holding Delatite to a meagre 60 runs in its opening innings.
But the Bushrangers fell short where it counted, with Delatite dismissing the home side for 54.
Most of the heavy lifting was done by Sam Bell (5-12) and Austin Scott (4-11), with only two Benalla batters making it past double digits.
● Defending a total of 41, Benalla's Under-16 side could not pull off the impossible on Saturday, as Yarrawonga Mulwala raced to a round-four victory at Stan Hargreaves Oval.
Yarrawonga Mulwala scored 7/154 from 42 overs on day two of the contest, 113 runs north of Benalla's first innings.
Jasper De Fazio and Jack Fullager fought hard in attack for Benalla, each taking 2-13.

● An all-round performance with bat and ball saw Benalla's Under-14 team win its two-day match against Greta on Saturday.
After posting 3/212 with the bat, Benalla took the Gardens’ field to limit its opponent's run chase.
And it was a "Max attack" from Benalla, with Max Cullen (2-6) and Max Woods (2-0) picking up multiple scalps to hold Greta to 93.
● Benalla's Under-12 one-day contest against Yarrawonga Mulwala remarkably ended in a draw, with both sides making 75 runs at the conclusion of each of their innings.
The Bushrangers batted first and made 2/75, with Lucas Ham hitting 27 runs from 20 balls, before Yarrawonga Mulwala also made 5/75, with Van Kreeck (32) the highest scorer of the day.
Among Benalla's attack, Will Botten took a strong wicket to finish with 1-2, while Cooper Binion was excellent in the field, pulling off a catch and a run out.
