An entertaining final round of games last weekend saw plenty of ladder positions chop and change, with each of the top eight sides now knowing who they will face on the road to premiership glory.
On Saturday the first elimination final will be held, with Katunga set to face off with Tocumwal.
The fifth-placed Swans cruised to a 26-goal victory last time the two teams met and despite the Bloods sneaking into the top four at the last minute, they cannot be underestimated.
Katunga team manager Danielle Henderson said the side was ready to go after a great Tuesday night training session.
“We’re not really sure what to expect (from Tocumwal),” Henderson said.
“Obviously we’re really pumped and looking forward to a challenge, in finals we know anything can happen.
“We’re definitely not going to take it lightly, we’re going in with full confidence though, I think you have to in an elimination final.”
The Swans’ defence will be vital to getting across the line on Saturday, while the attacking duo of Bri Armitage and Aimee Sidebottom will also need to be firing if their side is to win.
For Tocumwal, Saturday’s game is a chance to show what the side is capable of.
Co-coach Abby Wilson said the Bloods were excited after sneaking into eighth spot.
“It will be a tough game,” Wilson said.
“They played really well last time we played them, their shooting was really accurate and their defence was really good.”
Wilson said the Bloods would have a full side available for the big game along with a few juniors who will sit on the bench.
“We’re all fit and healthy at the moment,” she said.
“We haven’t played for two weeks so we’re trying to get back into it.”
Saturday afternoon’s game at Jerilderie will begin at 1.30pm.
In the second elimination final, Picola United will face off with Jerilderie.
When these two sides met in round six the Demons picked up a thrilling four-goal win and with just two wins separating the sides on the ladder, supporters can expect another classic encounter this weekend.
Sunday’s action will begin in Jerilderie at 1.30pm.
