When police officer Asger Holm is demoted to desk work, he expects a quiet time. That all changes when he answers a panicked phone call from a kidnapped woman who disconnects abruptly.
Every bit of his intuition and skill is required for the search for the missing woman and her assailant.
With limited images but telling sounds and dialogue, The Guilty creates a unique movie inside each of our heads.
Screening second in the double bill is the British film, Spitfire (PG).
This is the story of an aeroplane that was forged in competition, shaped as the war clouds gathered and refined in the white heat of combat — going on to become the most famous fighter plane ever made.
The story is told in the words of the last surviving combat veterans with stunning aerial footage and remastered archive footage.
There will be a single feature Sunday afternoon matinee of Spitfire (PG) at 1.30pm. Tickets are just $10 and include afternoon tea following the screening.
The double feature will screen on Saturday, June 29, at 6pm and Sunday, June 30, at 5pm.
The candy bar always opens half an hour before screening with the open fire warming film goers who can purchase freshly ground coffee or hot chocolate. Pastries can be ordered for a light meal at interval. EFTPOS is now available.
These will be the last film screenings for this season of Swanpool Community Cinema as the volunteers take a well-earned winter break.
The amazing Scrap Art show will be on again at the Swanpool Hall for the Swanpool Art Festival with three exhibitions from August 3 until August 18.
