The producer wrote the show, which aired from 2009 to 2015, alongside Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan.
He told Entertainment Tonight: "I just finished the script an hour ago. So we have a script, Brad and Ian and I, who wrote all the first two seasons, have written something.
"I've been in touch with around 10 of the original cast members and it's very sweet.
"They all had a lot of questions but they were very enthusiastic about the idea. Nobody's read it so, we'll see.
"I vowed to myself that I wanted to write a couple of them to see what people think, particularly the cast, because we were very close when we were making it."
Glee followed a group of high school students who were members of the New Directions glee club as they navigated issues around relationships, family, sexuality and teamwork.
The series was positively received by critics and drew in millions of viewers, although the audience declined in later seasons.
It made stars out of lead actors Lea Michele and the late Cory Monteith, who played couple Rachel Berry and Finn Hudson.
The show also starred Jane Lynch as gym teacher Sue Sylvester, Matthew Morrison as glee club coach Will Schuester and the late Naya Rivera as cheerleader Santana Lopez.
Monteith died in 2013 at the age of 31 from a toxic mix of alcohol and heroin.
Rivera died in 2020 at the age of 33 in an accidental drowning.
Mark Salling, another Glee cast member, also died in his 30s.Â
He took his own life in 2018 at the age of 35 after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.
