Swans don't expect scrutiny over Blue's high knee

Florent was forced out along with Will Hayward as the Swans prioritised their monster deal to snag recruit Charlie Curnow.

His knee caught Heeney's head as he leapt over him in the second term.

It appeared accidental but the Blues will sweat on MRO Michael Christian's view.

Heeney was assessed for concussion but was able to play on.

When asked if it was a football incident, Cox said: "Yeah, yep, yep.

"I think when you're over the ground and you're trying to go over the top of someone, something keeps happening, the ball goes that way - so I just see it like that.

"Isaac did a HIA test, he passed that fine and I'm glad he did because that third quarter was phenomenal."

There was no love lost between Curnow and his ex-teammates, nor Hayward and Florent and theirs, with spot fires throughout - and a huge melee after Curnow's first goal.

"It's good," defender Nick Blakey told AAP.

"High-profile player coming from a big club. We've got his back - and that goes for anyone.

"It was always going to be on and we love that and if one comes at us, then we'll all go back at them - so we've got everyone's back out there."

Florent appeared to snub a handshake from Mills and the pair were photographed tensely exchanging words post-match.

Cox was taken aback when told about the moment.

"I've no idea about that, none at all. They're good mates, that's what I know. I'm not sure," Cox said.

"We'll speak to Callum about it, I'm not sure what happened out on the field."

Mills later posted a photo of himself smiling with Florent to his Instagram story, captioned "I think we all good".

"We're best mates. That's the crazy part - we're still really good mates," Blakey said of reuniting with Hayward and Florent.

"Once you cross that white line, it's on and friendships are off and you like to get one up on them.

"That game's done now and I'm sure we'll catch up with them and have a beer with them and it'll be good fun. We'll chat about that for a while."
