Amart Furniture on the move

The doors will soon close at Amart Furniture’s Kialla store.

Amart Furniture will soon pack up its current store and reopen at Benalla Road, with the move set for the end of this month.

Store manager Chris Wisely said the shift follows the end of their lease and a chance to join other retailers in a busier part of town.

“A lot of retailers have moved out to that sort of area,” Chris said.

“We think it’s the right place to be.”

The new store will take over the old Spotlight building at 175 Benalla Rd alongside other big-name retailers including Anaconda, ARB, BCF, Bunnings, The Good Guys and Supercheap Auto.

Amart currently trades at 7950 Goulburn Valley Hwy in Kialla, but staff will start shifting stock across to the new site next week. Meanwhile, a clearance sale has started for items that won’t be taken to the new store.

The current store will keep trading until April 27, with plans to open the doors at Benalla Rd the very next day.

A grand opening is planned, likely for late May or early June.
