During the King’s Birthday weekend, more than 200 competitors gathered at Moira Park to compete in the Northern Victoria Sled Dog Championships.

The annual dry-sledding event kicked off with a cloud of dust as dogs sprinted down the tracks of Moira park, pulling their owners toward success.
The News’ Megan Fisher went along to the event to catch the dogs in action and to provide a glimpse into the fluffier moments in between, where companionship shared by dog and owner was visible.
