Vendors Pat, James and Nicki Pearce will host their 27th annual on-property sale and interfaced with AuctionsPlus from 1pm, offering 132 bulls to suit heifer and cow joinings.
The 2026 sale team features at least 113 homozygous polled bulls — the most available at an on-property sale this year in the Hereford breed.
Co-principal James Pearce said the draft of exceptional young sires had an average estimated breeding value for intramuscular fat (marbling) well above breed average at +1.6 per cent.
The drop also has the highest average 600-day weight EBV of +96kg combined with a birth EBV average of +3.7kg, resulting in real curve benders to increase profitability within a beef herd.
Mr Pearce said a star lot, Yavenvale VIP V365 (PP), was ranked second of all 2024 registered male born calves for both the breed’s Sustainability and Meat Standards Australia Indexes.
He pointed to the doing ability, constitution and fertility of the Yavenvale bloodline during the challenging seasonal conditions across southern Australia.
“Recently, our spring V heifers recorded a 92 per cent pregnancy test rate from a six-week joining” Mr Pearce said.
“The compensatory growth these cattle achieved after a hard winter shows the bounce back ability is ingrained.
“These are the sisters to the spring drop bulls in this sale and gives us great confidence in the genetics on offer.”
Mr Pearce said the catalogue offered buyers bulls that would breed a type for a whole range of target markets.
“There are bulls with EBVs and indexes that are breed leading.
“This year’s sale bulls are sound, functional, commercially relevant sires with natural thickness and doing ability.”
The fixture will mark the sale of the first sons of New Zealand sire Koanui Milton S420.
“Leading sires Matariki Nautical (NZ), Limehills Stellar (NZ), KCF Bennett Resolve G595 (US) and TH Masterplan 183F (US) have all had a massive impact on the genetic progression of our herd,” Mr Pearce said.
“We aim to be breed leaders in finding cutting-edge genetics that will advance the beef industry.”
Bull inspections are from 10am on sale day and selling agent is Ray White Rural Albury.
