The Benalla Theatre Company's production of Ma Baker's Tonic is the latest event in town to be postponed.
Company president Molly Craig said after the excitement of promoting the June production following Federal Government advice it would be postponed.
“The decision (to) limit gathers to under 100 people (means) unfortunately having to announce the postponement of the production,” Ms Craig said.
“The company’s committee met on Wednesday night and after much discussion and looking at various options we decided to postpone, but not cancel the show.
“The decision was discussed with the cast who wholeheartedly agreed.
“Benalla Theatre Company is not only in existence to provide entertainment for our community, but we are ourselves are a community and one that is very important to people as a place to come and be connected and have fun.
“In this very sad and sometimes scary times, it’s important to have support and not feel alone and we certainly value this highly at Benalla Theatre Company.
“Benalla Theatre Company is hoping the production will go on in November, but are ever mindful of the daily changes to our way of lives at present and will set dates when the time is right.”
