The upcoming workshops, presented over Zoom, are designed for Indi community organisations, not-for-profit groups and businesses who want to upskill and make sure their grant applications have the best chance for success.

Dr Haines said grants strengthened communities and created opportunities for the next generations, and hoped to see Indi communities prosper.
“Let’s do all we can to bring more funding and opportunity to our region,” she said.
“So, if you’ve got a fantastic idea for a project you want to get off the ground, or your community group needs a little extra funding to bring that idea to life, then these workshops and resources should certainly help.”
In the two and a half hour workshops locals can learn how to find grants, become grant-ready, prepare an application, discover how a grant is assessed, manage and acquit a grant, and other tips and tricks.

The same content is covered in each session, with participants able to choose the most convenient day and time.
Dr Haines has also set up an "Indi Funding Finder" website, which provides the north east with an online portal featuring a wide range of current grants available as well as a series of complementary short videos, which step applicants through the trickiest parts of applying for grants.
“I’ve worked with an expert grant adviser with more than 30 years’ experience in grant-seeking, grant-making and helping others find grants to create a set of handy ‘how-to’ guides and videos available on my website,” Dr Haines said.
