Benalla Rural City Council’s annual Grants Program opens on February 8 with a range of grants available.
The annual program includes Community Grants up to $2500, Major Event Funding up to $1500, Youth Participation Grants up to $1000 and Community Sponsorship, allocated monthly in amounts of up to $500.
Benalla Mayor Danny Claridge said the funding provided a boost to local activities and events.

“The Community Grants Program provides the opportunity for all community groups and individuals to further contribute to community life,” Cr Claridge said.
“The council is offering funds to community groups to help build a healthy, active, safe and socially connected community.
“The range of activities and initiatives covered by the Community Support Program is broad and I encourage people to consider applying.”
