Tatong unveils mural celebrating CFA

“The mural is a voluntary, joint effort of the brigade and community and did not require artist funding,” the spokesperson said.

“The paint, trestles, fencing, pathway and some of the labour including the large areas of early paintwork, was provided by district locals and brigade members.

“It depicts a number of the current brigade members, plus ex-captain and long serving local Evan (Toby) Lewis.

“The names of other contributors and brigade members are listed on the mural.”

Tatong CFA members wanted to give a special thank you to Brigade Captain Rod Lindsay who sowed the seed for the mural many years ago.”
