Benalla Bushwalkers enjoy annual camp

“Not only was an evening meal consisting of roast meats with a range of vegetables served, but a range of delicious desserts were supplied by members,” John said.

“Activities during the day allowed people to walk, canoe, fish, swim, or simply enjoy the surroundings.

“The attached photo shows the bounty cooked in the camp ovens ready to serve.”

The bushwalkers may need to have a temporary name change to the "bushriders" for its next adventure.

“A bike ride will be held from Bonnie Doon to Merton and return on Sunday, May 16,” John said.

“It is a distance of 37 km with a few steep sections involved.”
