SES volunteer Graham Milner said he was always pleasantly surprised by the generosity of the Benalla community.
“We've actually had more notes than coins dropped in so far,” Mr Milner said.
“The money raised will be spent on a few things, such as small item equipment for our volunteers.

“And within our unit it will go towards things like helmet lights, torches and a lot of things like that.
“We’d like to thank BWS and Hailee for allowing us to use their forecourt, and we’d also like to mention Burke Signs who did the signwriting on our donations bucket.”
BWS manager Hailee Thomas said Wear Orange Wednesday was a cause the store was pleased to support.
“We are all about supporting our community at BWS, so any time we can get a chance to get involved with community groups like SES, we take that opportunity,” Ms Thomas said.

SES volunteer Bob Bunting said everyone at SES appreciated the community getting behind them.
“We enjoy what we do, we do it for the community so it’s great to have the community donate to our cause,” Mr Bunting said.
“People are always very generous and we are thankful for that.”
