Although not many had a kilt to wear, there was still tartan to be seen on everyone.
Residents Sheila and John, scripted a creative play, which came to life in the format of a puppet show.

An Estia spokesperson said it was enjoyed so much they had to do several performances.
“In-house chef Deb, put on a fantastic traditional Scottish lunch that was described by one resident as simply delicious,” the spokesperson said.
“A traditional bag pipe player came to perform for the residents, although due to COVID-19 restrictions he was not allowed inside the home, so he played from the car park.

“Thankfully bagpipes are loud enough that everyone was able to enjoy from inside the building.”
While the world may seem to be at a halt with international travel, the team at Estia health Benalla are already planning for their next international themed day.
“The residents love sharing their knowledge and stories about different cultures and heritage, and always learn something new as well,” the spokesperson said.
