“Benalla is a lovely community and we already have some good friends here,” Mr Woods said.
“My wife and I are really looking forward to investing into this community and seeing it flourish.
“In my role as principal at Australian Christian College I plan to raise the school’s academic results by continuing the improvement of teaching practices through Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI).
“My predecessor, Dr Terry Harding, has already set the school on a positive trajectory in this regard and so I plan on continuing to support, encourage and inspire the teaching team to new heights.
“I believe the school is on the cusp of significant growth, having recently expanded into the secondary years and upgrading the campus with new buildings.”
