Past graduates are invited back on campus for a weekend of nostalgia to celebrate FCJ College’s 125 years of history.
On Saturday, August 16 from 4pm, alumni can relive their school days by visiting familiar classrooms, exploring the archives and reconnecting with long-lost friends.
A gala dinner will begin at 5.30pm at the Benalla Lakeside Community Centre, where guests will be warmly welcomed with grazing platters on arrival.
Goldhammer Catering will be providing a two-course meal, and the event will feature guest speakers Hamoudi Al Saghir, Norah McCluskey and Sr Barbara Brown-Graham.
With a semiformal dress code, FCJ welcomes all past students and families to join the celebration for $90 per person.
Tickets can be bought via ticketebo.com.au/fcj125gala
To follow, a celebratory mass will be held at St Joseph’s Church on Sunday, August 17 at 9.30am.
From 10.30am, guests are invited to enjoy morning tea at the College, followed by another opportunity to explore the campus.
“We’re so pleased to welcome past graduates, those families that have been associated with our college over their education, and also through extended family members,” Mr Mount said.
“We’re really looking forward to celebrating the 125 years through our school’s Founder’s Day, through the tours on the Saturday and Sunday, and through the gala dinner on the Saturday night, where we’ll hear from past alumni.
“We recognise the honour it is to host the 125th year event. And we look forward to the next 125 years, with courage and confidence.”
