A man is expected to appear in court later this month after being charged with alleged animal cruelty offences in Coleambally.

Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District started an investigation in April, following reports of alleged acts of animal cruelty late last year.
Following inquiries, about 9am on Sunday police attended a house at Coleambally and arrested a man, aged 20.
He was taken to Darlington Point Police Station and charged with recklessly beat etc and kill animal and torture, beat etc and cause prolonged suffering to animal.
He was given conditional bail to appear before Griffith Local Court on Wednesday, May 15.
