Applications will close at noon on Monday, August 18, but before then, council is inviting community groups, local clubs and not-for-profit organisations to attend an online information session to learn more about them.
The session will include a live Q&A and tips on grant writing, with practical advice on applying.
With 10 different grant programs available, covering areas including events, infrastructure, inclusion, arts and culture, sport and heritage, the session aims to explain the different grant categories on offer and include a breakdown of each category.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said the online session was the best way to understand the full range of grant opportunities and how local ideas could be turned into real outcomes.
“These grants are a fantastic opportunity for community groups and organisations to get projects off the ground, whether that’s an event, an upgrade, or a creative new initiative,” he said.
“If you are not quite sure what the grants cover or how they can benefit your group or idea, I urge you to attend the online information session.
“It does not go for long, but you will walk away with a clear understanding of what is on offer and how to apply.”
The session will be held at 6pm on Monday, July 21, and is open to anyone interested in learning more.
